Men's Tartan Kilt Sizing Guide
Our men's tartan kilts are crafted from 80% acrylic and 20% wool in a traditionally machine-woven tartan fabric. Each kilt is expertly finished with traditional pleats for a classic swing and features two leather straps with chrome-finish buckles, allowing 2 inches up and 2 inches down adjustment for a comfortable fit.
How to Measure Your Kilt Waist
- Stand naturally with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Find where you will wear the kilt—traditionally around the navel, which is higher than a standard trouser waist.
- Wrap a flexible tape measure snugly around your body at that point, keeping it level and parallel to the floor. Measure over a shirt or other light clothing, not bulky garments.
- Note the measurement in inches. If your measurement falls between the listed sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
For the best fit, use your actual kilt-waist measurement rather than your usual trouser size.

All sizes have a standard 24-inch kilt length. The adjustable leather straps allow 2 inches up and 2 inches down adjustment for a fine-tuned fit.
Choosing Between Sizes
- Between sizes? Choose the larger size for comfort and use the adjustable straps to fine-tune the fit.
- Prefer a snug fit? The two leather buckle straps can be adjusted by up to 2 inches in either direction.
- Kilt length: The standard 24-inch length is measured from the top of the waistband to the bottom hem.
